W.H. Jackson's photographs took him all over the west. The Grizzly Giant, one of about 500 Giant Sequoias located in Yosemite National Park was photographed by Jackson in the 1880s. Detroit Photographic Company had access to 20,000 of Jackson's negative and produced this color photochrom, (likely under Jackson's supervision) between 1898 and 1905.
